Maintenance shutdown crew receiving a toolbox briefing in a controlled North Sea platform staging area

Planned maintenance campaigns

Shutdown crews prepared around the campaign plan.

Coordinate short mobilisation windows, multiple trades, shift patterns and changing evidence without losing the approved record.

Operational scope

Short campaigns still need complete workforce controls.

Shutdown and turnaround work often involves several trades arriving against a fixed access window. A structured campaign record helps separate headcount planning from confirmed assignments and makes missing evidence, approval delays and rota changes visible.

01

Multi-trade workforce planning

Build requirements for mechanical, electrical, fabrication, lifting, access, inspection, HSE and support roles under one campaign while retaining role-specific criteria.

02

Readiness and expiry visibility

Availability, medical-fitness status and certificate expiry information can be reviewed before the mobilisation window rather than discovered at the final check.

03

Rotation and timesheet control

Assignment periods can use weekly, fortnightly or offshore-rotation timesheets with named client approvers and revision history.

Delivery route

From authorised requirement to controlled record.

Each stage has a named decision, required information and an audit point. Later corrections create a revision instead of quietly replacing the earlier evidence.

  1. 01

    Map the campaign

Record work packs, trades, headcount, shift pattern, mobilisation waves and decision deadlines.

  2. 02

    Build readiness

Identify suitable profiles and resolve expiring, missing or client-specific evidence ahead of the access window.

  3. 03

    Control change

Track replacements, rota amendments and approvals without overwriting the original requirement or evidence trail.

  4. 04

    Close the record

Retain approved time, authorised expenses, assignment revisions and invoice support for the agreed retention period.

What the client defines

Information required before meaningful assessment.

  • Campaign name, asset, work packs and responsible client contacts
  • Trade-by-trade headcount, duties, shift pattern and competence
  • Mobilisation waves, access dates, duration and contingency needs
  • Site induction, permit, PPE and medical-fitness requirements
  • Named candidate, mobilisation and timesheet approvers
  • Rates, hour categories, expenses, purchase order and payment terms

What supports the decision

Proportionate worker evidence.

  • Trade qualification and recent relevant work history
  • Role-specific offshore, access, lifting or safety evidence
  • Medical-fitness status where the assignment requires it
  • Availability across the complete proposed rotation
  • Right-to-work status and engagement information
  • Client-specific inductions or approvals once legitimately available

Clear responsibility

Recruitment support without blurred HSE duties.

Offshore Personnel supports recruitment, evidence control and workforce administration. It does not take over the client's control of the worksite, safe system of work or statutory responsibilities.

Common questions

Shutdown mobilisation questions

Can a shutdown talent pool be advertised before dates are confirmed?

Yes, if it is clearly labelled as future workforce planning rather than a live job. A confirmed vacancy is published only after client authority and sufficient assignment details are recorded.

How are replacement workers handled?

Replacement requirements retain the original role criteria and campaign context. The replacement worker is assessed separately and the change is recorded rather than obscuring the earlier decision.

Can timesheets follow an offshore rotation?

Yes. The assignment can use a weekly, fortnightly or rotation period with standard, overtime, night, standby, travel and other authorised categories.
