Oil and gas offshore
Published OPITO routes include BOSIET, FOET, HUET, lifting competence, helideck and emergency-response training. The accepted course depends on the asset, location and client.

Approved training partner
Explore 3t training across oil and gas, wind, marine, lifting, welding, technical trades, survival and emergency response by target occupation.

3t publishes safety, skills and technical training across oil and gas, wind, marine, construction and other safety-critical industries. Its course catalogue covers standards and disciplines including OPITO, GWO, IRATA, STCW, IWCF, lifting, drilling and well control, NDT and welding, mechanical and electrical work, survival and emergency response.
The correct route depends on the productive occupation and actual employer specification. BOSIET may support an oil-and-gas mobilisation, GWO may support wind work, and a trade or competence assessment may still be required. Offshore Personnel will add separate funding or referral packages only after the provider supplies and approves the final details.
Published OPITO routes include BOSIET, FOET, HUET, lifting competence, helideck and emergency-response training. The accepted course depends on the asset, location and client.
Published GWO routes include safety, sea survival, working at height, first aid and Basic Technical Training. Technical foundations do not replace trade competence.
The catalogue includes lifting, crane, welding and NDT, coatings, rope access, mechanical, electrical, CompEx, confined-space and other role-specific categories.
3t publishes STCW, marine, survival, medical, first-aid, helideck, firefighting and emergency-response routes at relevant centres. Availability varies by course and location.
Role-to-training map
These are relevant categories, not a universal shopping list. Open the role guide and confirm the client specification before booking.
Choose OPITO offshore survival for relevant oil-and-gas work or GWO safety for wind only after selecting the target occupation.
Open role pathwayOPITO rigger and banksman-slinger initial training or competence assessment, plus crane and lifting categories where the asset requires them.
Open role pathwayNDT, welding, coatings, confined-space and hot-work-related training must be matched to the required process, code and project.
Open role pathwayMechanical, electrical, CompEx and GWO Basic Technical Training categories support different assets and do not replace the underlying trade.
Open role pathwayIRATA access training should be combined with the productive NDT, mechanical, electrical or fabric-maintenance trade required by the client.
Open role pathwayPublished categories include helideck operations, firefighting, emergency-response teams, first aid and medical services at relevant centres.
Open role pathwaySTCW, marine, lifting, technical, survival and trade refreshers may apply according to the vessel, asset and productive assignment.
Open role pathwayPublished packages
A package can reduce duplicate bookings, but it is only useful when every component supports the target role. Published contents, prices and availability can change.
Published as an OPITO oil-and-gas package combining entry-level offshore safety and medical requirements with Banksman Slinger Initial Training.
Check current packageA role-led new-starter package. Confirm its current survival, medical and rigger-training components directly with 3t.
Check current packagePublished with OPITO offshore safety and medical components plus IRATA rope-access training. Rope access alone does not replace the secondary trade.
Check current packageA published wind-turbine package. Confirm the current GWO modules, technical content and prerequisites against the intended technician role.
Check current packageCombines wind blade-repair and access training. Employers still assess logged access experience, repair competence and project requirements.
Check current packageA published new-starter route for offshore maintenance. Confirm whether its current components match mechanical, coatings or other intended duties.
Check current packageA combined further-training package for defined response roles. It is not an entry route and requires the relevant current prerequisites.
Check current package3t publishes initial and refresher packages. Choose OPITO or GWO according to the asset and employer rather than purchasing both by default.
Check current packageDecision sequence
Use a controlled sequence so the course supports a real role and the resulting evidence can be assessed accurately.
Start with the Offshore Personnel role guide and identify the productive discipline behind the application.
Confirm whether the work uses OPITO, GWO, STCW, IRATA, IWCF, ECITB or another standard and whether initial training, assessment or refresher evidence is required.
Ask 3t to confirm the exact centre, current syllabus, duration, dates, price, cancellation terms and certification issued.
After successful completion, upload the certificate and record its issuer, number, issue date and expiry so it can be verified.

Common questions
These answers explain the route without guaranteeing funding, course acceptance or employment.
Potentially most role families, because 3t publishes oil-and-gas, wind, marine, lifting, technical, welding, rope-access, survival and emergency-response categories. The exact course still has to match the actual work.
No. Safety and introductory technical courses do not replace a trade qualification, logged experience, competence assessment or employer authorisation where those are required.
Not currently. This page explains the provider categories and links to the official course catalogue. Any future referral or funding arrangement will be published only after the details are confirmed.
